Looking to add a little friendly competition to your next gathering? Look no further than sjoelen, a Dutch classic that's coming back at The All Out Amsterdam! This fast-paced game of flicking wooden discs across a board is perfect for unleashing your inner champion (or channelling your inner grandma!). And this sjoelbar takes it to the next level with extra game elements.

Easy to learn but challenging to master, sjoelen is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. So, grab your friends, order some delicious bites and refreshing drinks, and get ready to sjoel your way to victory at The All Out Amsterdam! We'll provide the boards, and the bragging rights are all yours. See you there!

The Sjoelen rules

  • Objective: The goal of sjoelen is to slide wooden pucks down the lanes and into the scoring compartments at the opposite end of the board.

  • Setup: Each player has ten wooden pucks, and the board is divided into four scoring compartments, each numbered from 1 to 4.

  • Scoring: The scoring compartments are worth different points: compartment one is worth two points, compartment two is worth three points, compartment three is worth four points, and compartment four is worth one point. Each puck must be entirely within the compartment to score points.

  • Winning: At the end of the game, the player with the highest score wins. After the game, it's time to celebrate with some fun cocktails and snacks or challenge the winner to another round!
